About Susan

 

​Growing up in West Auckland has given me a keen connection to this area with its West coast beaches and bush clad Waitakere Ranges..I have also lived and worked in various nations and  married cross-culturally, my husband being Swiss.  Having transitioned from overseas several times has given me understanding of the specific challenges this can involve. Therefore I am particularly passionate about helping people through major life transitions whether geographically or emotionally.(see debriefing tab).

 

A background in primary teaching and having 3 adult children has given me a passion for the family. I feel strongly about family relationships and issues that undermine them. As such I have had specific training and experience in working with women from abusive backgrounds and in particular women with sexual abuse issues. I love to see women empowered to grow into all they can be, listening to and affirming their voice and seeing wholeness come into their lives

I have been married for 32 years and we have three adult children and one grandchild. Although not currently providing couples therapy, I have had experience with Imago training in the past and worked with couples for 3 years. This gives me a good insight into personal relationships and conflict resolution.
